Tourism information and museums

Brescia, the city of the Mille Miglia, Italian Capital of Culture 2023, is a wonderful place to walk around, with its main squares (Piazza Vittoria, Piazza Loggia, Piazza Mercato, Piazza Paolo VI), its cathedrals, and its Castle.

The city of Brescia and its province also praise three UNESCO World Heritage sites: the first is “Lombards in Italy. The places of power (568-774 A.D.)” in Brescia, the second are the “pile-dwelling sites of the Alps” on Lake Garda and the third are the Rock Engravings in Valle Camonica.

Another unique treasure is the “Vittoriale degli Italiani”, Gabriele D’Annunzio’s fascinating house-museum. Moreover, every year cultural events enliven the city and its province.

Food and wine are also not lacking: Brescia is rich in specialties for all palates, even the most refined, since its territory has more than 10 starred restaurants, serving typical products such as spiedo, casoncelli, oil, truffles, lake fish, cheeses, caviar and fine wines which are known all over the world.
